Vertical Machining Center Manufacturers: Conditions for using a vertical machining center

Vertical machining centers are one of the most widely used CNC machine tools today, possessing strong comprehensive processing capabilities. They consist of mechanical equipment and a CNC system, suitable for machining complex parts. A vertical machining center can complete many machining operations with a single workpiece clamping, achieving high machining accuracy. For medium-difficulty batch workpieces, it can also complete many machining operations that ordinary equipment cannot, handling even more complex shapes and precision requirements. It is more suitable for high-unit processing or small-batch, multi-variety production. Using a vertical machining center requires meeting the following four conditions:
1. Environmental Requirements for Vertical Machining Center Location: The location of the vertical machining center should be away from vibration sources and avoid the influence of moisture and airflow, as well as direct sunlight and thermal radiation. If there are vibration sources near the CNC machine tool, anti-vibration grooves should be set up around the machining center. Otherwise, this will directly affect the machining accuracy and stability of the CNC machining center, causing malfunctions, leading to poor contact of electronic components, and affecting the reliability of the vertical machining center.
2. Power Requirements: Vertical machining centers are generally installed in machine workshops, not only with poor operating conditions but also with large environmental temperature variations and significant power grid fluctuations, along with many electromechanical devices. Therefore, the location of the machining center requires strict control of the power voltage; the power voltage fluctuation must be within the allowable range and remain relatively stable.
3. Temperature Conditions: The relative humidity for a CNC machining center should be below 80%, and the ambient temperature below 30 degrees. Exhaust fans or cooling fans are installed inside the CNC control box to maintain a constant operating temperature or a small temperature difference for electronic components, especially the central processing unit. Excessive temperature and humidity will shorten the lifespan of the control system components and increase the failure rate. Increased temperature and humidity, along with increased dust, can lead to adhesion and short circuits on the integrated circuit board.
4. When using a vertical machining center, users are not allowed to arbitrarily change the parameters set by the manufacturer in the control system. The settings of these machining center parameters are directly related to the dynamic characteristics of the machining center parts; only the gap compensation parameter values can be adjusted according to the actual situation.
